Oersted’s Apparatus
To show the action of an electric current on a magnet.
School apparatus for performing Oersted’s experiment demonstrating that electric currents create magnetic fields
Apparatus comprises a A 75mm cobalt steel needle with agate bearing supported by a pivot is mounted on base and is surrounded by a copper rod rectangle in shape, frame fitted with two terminals for electrical connections.
Passing the current through non magnetic frame, magnetic needle deflects as per oersted’s law.
