PM-856 VERNIER MICROSCOPE ( TRAVELING MICROSCOPE )
An easy to use, accurate, instrument calibrated horizontal and
vertical planes both measures to 0.01 mm.
For measurement of two axes e.g. to determine the real and
apparent depth of a liquid. Microscope carriage supported on a
brass column with engraved graduations, can be positioned on
either side of column for user’s convenience. Vertical column is
mounted on the traversing carriage that moves along the
horizontal scale and has a swing-out magnifier for reading the
veriner. Cast iron base, has a removable glass stage plate, and is
fitted with three levelling screws. Both carriages can be moved
along their scales for approximate setting of positions, after
releasing their locking screws. Fine adjustment of the carriage is
by fine-thread screw at end of each slide. Microscope tube which is
focused by rack and pinion, can be set vertically or horizontally and
is fitted with a glass cross line graticule and an eyepiece in a draw
tube. Supplied in a polished wooden case
