HOOKS LAW APPARATUS
Hooke’s law can be investigated by measuring how much a string stretches from a known applied force.
When we apply a force to a spring, it will deform to an extended length. When the force is removed, provided the spring does not exceed its elastic limit, the spring will return to its natural length thus, showing that its length is directly proportional to the force applied.
To demonstrate that the stretching forcei. e by slotted masses, increases the extension of the spring also increases. This is directly proportional.
Stretched length of Spring can be read By pointer on the Scale.
