MS-191 PVG BAR BREAKING APPARATUS

To demonstrate the effect of expansion and contraction. Comprises
a heavy cast iron base frame 350 x 120 x 100 mm. with two slotted
uprights to carry a iron bar. Bar threaded at one end for tensioning
hand nut and with a hole at the other end to take cast iron breaking
bars. Supplied complete with 12 cast iron breaking bars.

BAR BREAKING APPARTAUS

For demonstrating effect of expansion and contraction

Heavy casting with U shape uprights to accommodate a thick iron bar.One end is fitted with a hand nut other drilled with a hole, to accommodates a cast iron breaking bar.

By heating the iron bar, the iron bar will expand and its tension decrease. Tension is restored using the metal knob. The tension increases as the rod cool, until the force on the smaller iron bar causes it to fracture.
