  • For determining the maximum density of water. Comprises a cylindrical tin vessel, surrounded in the middle with annular trough used for placing a mixture of ice and salt. Fitted with tubular to have thermometers. Temperatures of the water at the top and bottom of inner cylindrical vessel are taken over a period as the water cools. Dimensions - Cylinder 225x50 mm. Trough 100x65 mm. Supplied without thermometer or bungs.
