MS-271 PVG RAY OPTICS KIT

This kit enables pupils to investigate the properties of lenses and to
construct simple optical instruments.
Kit comprises: 2 lamp holders, s.b.c. Each in cast-alloy shade with 2
axial slots. Shade has integral support arm which is clamped at
right angles to a vertical rod, height 165 mm., held in a heavy castmetal base. Holder complete with approximately 1.8 m two-core,
PVC-covered cable and 12V, 24W axial filament lamp; cable is led
through hole in support arm and securely clamped, base is
recessed to accommodate lamp so that the shade may be lowered
on the base when not in use. One each right-and left-hand
cylindrical lamp shieds, in matt black finish. Light-alloy sheet with
with solt parallel to axis, overall size 190×60 mm., height x i.d. Two
black plastics ‘combs’ 100×80 mm., with 17 equispaced parallel
slots, 45×1.5mm., height x width l 2 black plastics 130×80 mm.,
each with single and triple slits, 45×1.5 mm., height x width ; 2
‘comb’ and plate holders; 2spring-loadedclips mounted on matt
