RAY BOX

An instrument which Provides a simple means of producing single or multiple light rays for use in elementary optics.

Raybox  a diecasted ventilated lamphouse with open front and extended sides for heat dissipation.Vertical inner grooves are given for Slit Plate and Cylindrical lens.

Slit plates are with single and Triple slits.Complete with 12 V 24 W Line filament lamp and lamp holder.

With the lens, mirror set and accessories several experiments can be done by students as

Demonstartion of Inverse square law, shadow umbra and penumbra, Reflection from plane and curved surfaces, Refraction at spherical surfaces, Determination of Radius of curvature of concave and convex mirrors, and Focal length of Concave and convex lenses etc.

With the addition of Glass or Acrylic blocks, prisms etc. experiments in refraction at plate surface, critical angle, deviation and dispersion, refraction by prism and angle of minimum deviation can be demonstrated to students.
