Parallel Plate Capacitor
Parallel Plate Capacitors are formed by an arrangement of electrodes and insulating material or dielectric. The two conducting plates act as electrodes. There is a dielectric between them. This acts as a separator for the plates.
For investigating the relationship between the electrical quantities charge, voltage and capacitance, and its dependence on surface area of conductors as well as for measuring the absolute permittivity and dielectric constant of various materials. Equipped with a fine control mechanism for precise adjustment of the distance between the plates.
Consists of two 125mm circular Aluminium discs mounted on insulated supports that slide on an extruded aluminum section. With a fine control mechanism for precise adjustment of the distance between the two plates.
The distance between the two plates and the height of the plates are easily adjustable. Parallel Plate Capacitor Apparatus is with 2 Dielectric Materials: Glass and Cardboard.
