RESISTANCE BOX

A resistance box, also known as a decade box or resistance substitution box, is a specialized electrical device used to provide precise and variable electrical resistance in electronic and electrical circuits

A resistance box contains a set of resistance values that can be manually adjusted or switched to achieve specific resistance levels. These values are typically calibrated and known with high precision.

Contains precision resistors, that can be connected or disconnected using switches or rotary knobs. The box has  multiple switches, each representing a digit of the resistance value.

By selecting the appropriate settings for each switch, one can configure the total resistance provided by the box.

Variety of Resistance Ranges: Resistance boxes come in various models with different resistance ranges, from fractions of an ohm to several megohms. This versatility allows them to be used for a wide range of applications.

Teak wood box, All plugs are turned to a fine standard taper and are interchangeable.

These are moulded in fluted plastic tops. The brass blocks are undercut and are fitted to a thick insulating plate. Heavy 4 mm brass terminals are used. Coils are non-inductively wound and are treated to be strain-free. Coil values are engraved on the bakelite plate and an infinity plug is also included.Accuracy ± 0.1%.
