  • With the adoption of the joule as the unit of work (energy and Heat),electrical measurements are greatly simplified if the usual Voltmeter and ammeter are replaced by a single, directly calibrated instrument. The joule meter is a modified watt-hour meter, arranged for lowVoltage working, and calibrated in joules(J).Meter mounted on On a 16 mm. multiply stand 140x185x210 mm.,length x width x Depth, with four plastic feet. The 4 mm. Supply and Load connections are mounted on an engraved black plastics plaque fitted to the base. The alumminium disc rotates once every 100 J Consumption indicated on small decade dials registering every 100,1000 and 10000 J, to a total of 99 000;the lowest dial can be Read by estimation to 25 J. For use on 12V a.c. Circuits, with a Maximum current of 8A.Overall dimensions of meter 175x120x105mm., length x width x depth.
